Picked her up in 2011, ex-demo car with 5,000 km on and just the color/wheels/spec I wanted. Made me happy many times, did a few long road-trips across Europe,
couple of track-days, and a lot of real road fun (in various ways). Hardly without its faults as a car but quite an honest one. Definitely some precious lessons learned by messing with it
in terms of suspension and engine upgrades and a few internet/forum myths busted along these processes as well. Good knowledge for the future.
Top three mods/upgrades by far:
1. Rear arb
2. Stage 1 map (1, not 2 or 3)
3. Federal tyres
But, increased requirements in terms of space, ride quality and overall journey refinement, the fact I could not bother reverting some of the upgrades to stock form and last but not least:
the possibility to get back around 45+% of the car's buying value after 5 years while I knew that a change would be coming sooner or later meant it had to go.
And so it did last Friday, 5 years and 62.000km later.
I'll be sticking around as Briskoda has become more of an addiction than just a car forum, in all honesty, the biggest selling point of any car for Skoda UK should be the very existence of this forum (and I am not even based in UK)
