Hello folks. I'm in the market for a new car. I'm heading down the route of a mk2 monte.
I've never owned a skoda before but I'm Sure I'm in good hands.
I'm looking at 62,63 reg cars with around 25k on the clock. Ideally 1.2 tsi 85 or 105.
On buying one what should I be wary about. Is there anything I should ensure is OK prior to parting with my cash?
Also of the 3 cars I've viewed, I noticed that the engines all seem a little corroded on the blocks and other areas around the engine. Is this normal on Fabias? It's seems common in the 3 I've viewed.
I'm buying from the midlands so they aren't near coastal winds, waves etc which can cause this corrosion. Should I be worried about it or ignore it?
Any other info would've nice.
