Ive got my hands on a mk2 vrs exhaust bought from Naths vRS and I'm going to fit to to my monte carlo but I'm going to have to cut the rear diffuser and bumper to make an exhaust exit. Has anyone done this and got any pictures on how they did it or does anyone have any tips on positioning the cut?

skoda fabia 2005 central locking problem
Ok, now i got out of the car,and went to lock the car using the fob, and nothing, only can manually lock it, now i called a autolocksmith out he pluged his machine in tried to do some wizardry but no luck, was saying he cant communicate with the ecu, also he tried to pair the key with the car again no luck there, so i told him to take a walk lol, so my main key and spare suddenly dont work BUT the batteries arent flat, also the car battery seems good but havent checked voltage readings, also the immobiliser light in the door card doesn't light up, i cheked all fuses, i checked wiring and found one broken wire fixed it and no luck, im really stumped at what to do now :, (

Are all throttle pedals the same?
My throttle pedal is sticking slightly and giving high idle untill I pull the pedal up and it drops again.
I've got access to a Fabia I'm going to strip all the parts I want (free before scrapping) so have took the headlights, Window seals, rear demister switch and a few other bits but not sure if the throttle pedal will be the same as its a 1.4 petrol and mines a 1.9 tdi vrs.
Any idea if they are interchangeable then?

Tyre Pressure Monitor System saving settings
Hi,
I've checked my tyre pressures and they're all correct. So I've then gone into the Tyre settings via Car settings on the Infotainment system. Pressed the SET button. Then confirm.
It says the pressures have been stored. But no other screens come up asking for or showing exact figures. It also keeps the note on screen saying to press the SET button to save the pressures.
Does this mean they're saved? I haven't changed tyres nor pumped them up.

Overhead sunglasses holder
Hi all, I have just changed from mk3 vrs estate to 110 petrol Monte Carlo hatch. Nice car and very pleased with it but I miss the poke of the vrs however I am looking to fit a overhead sunglasses holder. Can you get them for the Fabia 3 and if so are they easy to retro fit ?

Could someone explain something to me...
Ever since I got my car back in October, the main key with the little torch on it hasn't worked, the key light flashes on the dash and if I do start the car with it, it quickly cuts out again so I've just been using the spare key all this time but its bugging me not knowing why its doing it.

Xenon look headlight bulbs
My last car an Octavia had bi xenons , I am now looking to replace the headlight bulbs on my new Fabia 3 monte and I am considering Phillips vision extremes + 130 as these appear to be bright white in appearance. Has anybody changed their bulbs and if so what would you recommend. I am also looking to change side lights with led's but not sure which would complement the extremes. Your advise would be appreciated.

SKODA 9892 Red
Hope someone can help me. Can anybody tell me what red my Fabia is, when I google the code it comes up with different reds. I know it definitely isn't 'flame red', was wondering if it was 'Flamenco red', it's a darkish metallic red (9892). Does anybody know of a another manufacturer which has a similar red, as my local car parts shop sell loads of red touch up paints (lot less than dealer), just not for a Skoda. It's just to touch up stone chips etc.

starter motor mounting bolts size ( 1.9 tdi VRS)
Evening all
Would anybody happen to know the bolt size, specifically the diameter, of the 2 off mounting bolts that fix the starter motor in place.
I'm about to fit the xman uprated clutch and need to source some washers to space the motor a few millimetres away from the g/box housing.

What's the little plastic strip called above after market Hu
Sorry I tries searching I can't see what's it called all I see is the 1cm plastic strip thingy and I can't type that on eBay lol. I tried my local tps and they didn't have a clue, if someone has a part number I would be grateful.

VRS spoiler - how is it fitted?
Screwed or bonded? I'm looking to remove it to do a little work to it. It's already suffered the dreaded lacquer peel, and the car's going into get the tailgate sorted, but i want to remove it to rub it down separetly and smooth the aerial groove out of it.

11 plate 1.6 Tdi SE coolant hose supports between engine block & expansion header tank
Hi
Limbering up a for a fuel and air filter change (Haynes DO skim over some important bits, don't they? 
) and I noticed the coolant hose to the expansion tank seemed to be hanging loose. So loose in fact the underside was chafing against the alternator pulley! I can't see any obvious supports. Are there supposed to be any?

Weird engine noise at idle
I noticed this noise coming from the engine when the car is idling. As soon as you press the gas pedal the noise disappears and then reappears. It only happens after the engine has warmed up a bit, not immediately after the cold start.

Can't open bonnet
Hey guys. I've made a monumental **** up when I changed the radiator on my vRS. When rushing to get everything back together, I didn't check to see if I had connected the bonnet release cable up properly to the bonnet catch. As soon as I dropped the bonnet, I knew what I had done. I tried the handle anyway but it's just floppy.
Is there any way of getting the bonnet open without destroying the grille or bumper? I'll need to be able to open it soon because no doubt it'll need topping up with oil soon haha!

Anyone tried this brake deal ebay?
Furbie needs rear brakes for MOT again, even though the new calipers are less than 2 years old. That doesn't trouble me too much as I was looking into upgrading the brakes anyway. I almost purchased a TT/4 Motion Kit before I remembered that even with the spacers and longer bolts, fitment of AWD rear brakes on the Fabia can still lead to the carrier rubbing the disc. I then started looking at other kits, and am waiting on Dingbro getting back to me about an octy set up, and an ebay seller getting back to me regarding a full set off of an 25th anniversary golf.
Whilst waiting and browsing, this offer came up, and I wondered if anyone had any experience of the company/seller and their offer. They have two offers, one at about £140 without carriers and this one at £220 with carriers.
Any opinions and experiences are welcome.

Boot won't open

I have a 2009 fabia. The boot will not open when the boot switch is pressed. It makes no sounds.
The car does not have remote central locking.
Is there another way to open the boot lid.

Noise from windscreen wiper
- Wonder if anyone else has had noise problems with the wiper motor?
- It has appeared after a couple of weeks from new . I was not aware in first weeks In fact was impressed with the lack of noise initally
- It sounds like a loud woosh when the wipers return to the bottom of its programme, more so when the delay feature is used.
Any ideas as to what might be the problem, would appreciate any suggestions (useful that is)

Abnormal Turbo Whistle
Hello good people of Briskoda
I noticed a strange whistle coming from my car the last 48 hours, at first I thought it might have been a bit of rubbing on one of my pads but i've just studied it on the way home and it's coming from the turbo (or just air intake for now). It happens if I'm giving it a good nudge on the accelerator, not necessarily foot to floor but also I only hear the sound between 2200 and 3000 rpm approx. It's not the normal turbo whistle I know what that sounds like and I rather enjoy it, more just a louder noise that sounds as mentioned like a squeaky brake.
At this moment I just need to know if it's going to be OK until I can get it looked at, I'm travelling to London and back from Darlington over the weekend and need my trooper to do me a solid on this one.
It's Fabia VRS.
