Its chucking it down outside and I need to order replacement headlight bulbs as one has gone.
this is mine - are these the standard h7 bulbs and are these nightbreakers still a decent option?
On a different note I want some sort of rear bumper cover for the top surface to stop it getting marked with pushchairs and the like. Does anyone make one ready to fit?

I've always been able to open and close the car windows through my keyfob, and it's suddenly stopped working. All the windows work from the buttons on the drivers door (auto close/open works) but now it doesn't do it through the lock/unlock button.
Anyone else had this issue?

Ok, have my milltek on my VRS which i love, but i am sorely tempted to remove the mid pipe as well. Believe it or not Milltek system still keeps the standard mid box, so i am wondering if i should remove it for same size straight pipe and if anyone has done it. Don't want it barry sounding but if i keep the standard downpipe then i just assume a bit more deep burble and popping.
Anyone done it with a milltek or other exhaust ( not standard of course)

I have been looking for this item since 2014,either new or secondhand. It plugs onto the drivers door lock,and has two wires in use. My car has Manual door locking,and does not have electric windows.Cars with these options have more wires in the plug. I have attached a photo of the item

If i change my air filter to a K&N filter, would i see and real changes in the cars performance, or is it not worth the changing.
I have a 2015 TSI. Had to call the AA yesterday. The engine started then immediately stopped. Completely dead and no dash lights either, although other electrical things such as windows were working. The engineer checked fuses etc and could find no fault. He then tried disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery. The engine immediately started and everything was back to normal. I'll book the car in to be checked but I'm concerned that nothing will be found but that the fault will recur. Any ideas?

The power steering has been dropping out for the past few days on my 07 Fabia 1.4 diesel. I decided to check the PAS fluid level after reading Tech1e's excellent post on the possible issues with PAS on the Fabia. I don't have VAGCOM at home.
Anyone who has tried this will know that the power assisted steering fluid reservoir is located underneath the battery! You can just about see the green lid under the battery plate on this photo. You can see the reservoir and pump on the right on this photo (photos from previous threads).
The PAS lid is a fluted one in my case. It is stuck fast and I can't move it, neither could anyone else I asked to try. There is no room to get a spanner or similar down there to assist as the reservoir is inset. Does anyone know of a device that would grip the lid and increase the leverage so that I can open it? The device would have to be vertical rather than the usual jar opener which is horizontal (if you see what I mean).
The PAS symptoms include -
PAS warning light comes on after 15-20 mins driving and PAS is lost
Headlights dim when the steering wheel is turned
No PAS and warning light comes on if car left for 4-5 hours, but then PAS works after 1 - 2 mins driving

I have a 14 plate vRS - recently moved into a cul-de-sac in January, for the past 2 months I've been hearing a car alarm, very intermittent happens during the day, and during the night, but haven't heard it at work....
You can say it goes off 3-4 times a day though. As we moved I didn't think nothing of it, until today, when I went outside and noticed that it was infact my car making these sounds.
The only change I've had to my car since February is I've had a Kenwood DNX521DAB installed by Skoda. It's been in and out the garage 3-4 times due to missing cables, and niggly things that needed to be done.. Do you think this is the cause of the issue? My only assumption is that as it goes off once in a while and not constant, I thought maybe a cat / dog has walked past it to trigger it. Are there any sensors within the unit to be aware of?
